About

I am not a politician, nor a member of any political party. I am a patriot, I love this nation and would give my life for it. I started contributing for various websites from the time Political Parties were
legalised in the Maldives. Frankly, I did not support the decision then, and to this day, I have not been convinced that it was the best decision for a country of 300,000 people distributed in 200 islands.

As the New Constitution has been send for ratification, I am venturing into an area in which I am new. Tough I write, blogging is new to me. To make things simple, I will leave comments open. All I ask of the readers is to use decent language and not to make comments personal. I would like this to be a place where we can discuss issues which will be important to our children, in a civilised manner. Hence, I will just delete any profanities as and when I get time.

The entires I make here are my own views and beliefs.   I lobby for a strong and productive Parliament and strongly believe that all we need for a transparent and clean governence are the seperations of powers and a Parlaiment which truly represent the electorate. The day we see MPs voting for what is most beneficial to their electorate, rather than their Party line, is the day we will really reach the end of the reform we are looking for. Until then, we have to keep working.
